    I have a use case where the user should only see a year view and then be able to click on a day and get a popup dialog for entering data. What would be the preferred way to set this UI up?

    I was able to solve this like – might not be the beast way

    calendarView.getProperties().put(“com.calendarfx.selectedPage”, calendarView.getYearPage());

    You should simply use the DayPage directly and not the entire CalendarView. The calendar view contains several “pages”, one for a day, one for a week, one for a month, and the year page. The CalendarView is there for convenience. It has everything in it that a full blown calendar app would require. Applications using CalendarFX should not always use this view but the individual controls that ship with it. For details please start the sampler app, it will show you which controls are available.
